Faith in Business: Honor God as an Entrepreneur

Building a business can challenge your faith in ways people don’t talk about. Recently, I found myself slowing down and asking myself: How do I handle business in a way that honors God?

I came across a nationwide study by the HCU Center for Christianity in Business. It showed that 62% of faith-driven entrepreneurs want to better understand how to use their business skills to serve God. This hit home for me because I was struggling with the same question.

At the same time, a client was feeling overwhelmed as she was building her brand. Between website updates, content, marketing, and developing new systems, she was trying to manage a lot at once. As we worked through the challenges together, an unexpected business situation arose that forced me to think carefully about how I wanted to respond, not just as a business owner, but as a Christian entrepreneur.

In the past, I’ve made decisions out of fear, pleasing others, or just to avoid tough conversations. This time, I wanted to do things differently. Instead of reacting quickly, I turned to Scripture and searched for wisdom on what faith in business truly means.

In this post, I want to share what I’ve learned about trusting God in business, the biblical principles that guide my choices, and the scriptures that shape how I lead and build today.

DFY Magic: A Pixistock Content Playbook Review

I’m so excited about Pixistock’s new content playbook. This one right here is what I call DFY magic. When I first signed up for Pixistock, I was just looking for some pretty stock photos that looked like me. But Alicia Powell, the creator of Pixistock, clearly had bigger plans. She didn’t just stop at Canva templates and photos — she built a full-blown content system to help you plan, post, and profit with purpose.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to show up online, the DFY content playbook is your sign to breathe. It’s not your average planner — it’s a strategy that helps creative women like us stay consistent, confident, and connected to our brand voice (without losing our minds or weekends).

How I Discovered One of the Best Personal Branding Tools—By Accident

discovered personal branding tools by accident. I promise logo design wasn’t part of the plan. I’m not a fancy graphic designer with a degree. I’m a faith-filled, creative from the Bronx who got curious about tech.

Matter fact, the first logo I ever made wasn’t even supposed to be a logo. I was editing a video for a client and made a thumbnail in Canva. It was simple, but it gave the video a little pop. Next thing I know, my clients like, “I love my new logo!” and I’m sittin’ there like, girl, what logo?

AI Ethics and Society: Use AI Right and Skip The Drama

As machine learning evolves, it’s important to understand AI ethics and society. AI is part of our lives, from Siri to Netflix suggestions. Generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney are used for text and images. Almost any website you visit has an AI assistant. It’s not quite the Jetsons, but it’s time to understand how AI ethics plays a role in society.

When ChatGpt first broke, I was at a virtual copywriting workshop, and you could feel the hunger for information in the room. Everyone had questions, asking if AI-generated content is legal. Is it ethical? Can it be detectable? Are you required to disclose that your content is AI-generated?

At the time, there wasn’t enough research on what you could and couldn’t do.  One copywriter felt you should say when AI was used because that’s the right thing. Another copywriter disagreed–asking why disclose using AI when grandma’s secret ingredient stays a secret?
