ChatGPT is on everyone’s lips. Some worry Artificial Intelligence will replace them at work, while others are concerned about plagiarism in school. While ChatGPT possesses impressive capabilities, it is still a chatbox; after all – 80% of consumers have reported using a similar chatbot and enjoying the experience.

I’ve used several chatboxes throughout my blogging journey and had the best customer service experience with Siteground, a web hosting site. Siteground will make sure to get back to you with answers to your questions within a day. I was delighted to find an answer in my inbox in only three hours. The chatbot offered helpful links and resources so I could continue learning. The customer journey continues- I received follow-up emails from the customer service team to ensure my needs were met.

In this blog post, you will learn about ChatGPT’s features, tips on using the tool effectively, and reassurance that you will keep your job no matter what updates might come out!

What is ChatGPT?

Open AI, an Artificial Intelligence research company co-founded by Sam Altman and Elon Musk in 2015, created ChatGPT as an ethical chatbot that uses non-abusive words to make your life easier. ChatGPT stands for Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer; it’s a chatbox that responds to you naturally and humanly. When you enter a prompt, ChatGPT scours the web for relevant information in the same way search engines crawl the net. It is an excellent research tool, help you write summaries, check grammar, and translate text into different languages – check out the example below!

ChatGPT is still in its early stages. After three updates, you may encounter issues on the free plan once it reaches its capacity limit – so remember to keep that in mind.

Traditional Chatbox vs ChatGPT

ChatGPT is much more than a regular chatbot – let’s look at the differences. Traditional chatbots can only handle basic, limited tasks and have pre-programmed responses, meaning they only work with text and commands. Conversational AI powers ChatGPT, so it understands intent and voice inputs allowing it to communicate like a human! ChatGPT even works across multiple platforms.

How to Use the Chatbot

After you’ve created a free account, you are greeted with information on the software’s capabilities. Please see the image below.

On the left-hand panel, it saves all the topics, queries, and questions. Gone are the days of having multiple windows open.

To get the best answers from ChatGPT, ask questions in a conversational tone as if you are speaking to a close friend or an expert. When you ask specific questions and build on the previous response you will get better results. See examples of questions I asked ChatGPT and an outline I created about blueberries below.

How Does This Tool Affect Your Business?

Writers and marketers, don’t worry; ChatGPT won’t be taking your job just yet! The conversational chatbox can help your business become more productive by creating digital products. It’s like a writing buddy you can use to get the creative juices flowing, as Digital Copywriter Nick Usborne refers to it. Here are some ways you can use ChatGPT in your business: creating content calendars, outlining blogs, and newsletters, drafting social media posts, and writing podcast scripts.

ChatGPT helps you research unfamiliar industries and narrows down information. Experts believe that humans will still be integral to the workforce because ChatGPT can only process specific information. The benefits of ChatGPT will depend on your industry and how much marketing means to your businesses. For instance, a plumbing business might not be as invested in using the marketing tool the same way a health care company would.

AI Intent

It’s important to understand that a human mind developed ChatGPT, and the program cannot think independently. AI bots make tasks easier and improve previous work. There is a great debate about whether or not businesses should disclose AI-generated content. Some say yes, so they are transparent, but others think it’s unnecessary. Copywriter Bob Bly used this analogy: chefs don’t give away their secret ingredients, and content creators don’t need to disclose their creative process. The best way to remain confident in your role is to continue working on your craft.

Is ChatGPT going to overtake Google? Think again; Google has its conversational AI program Bard AI. A few weeks ago during the initial live demo, Bard AI didn’t answer a question properly and left everyone wondering how effective it would be.

What ChatGPT Doesn’t Do

ChatGPT is fast and reliable but has limits. The chatbot doesn’t generate original content or write with emotion, which is problematic since consumers buy products for emotional reasons. ChatGPT can’t uncover a company’s Unique Selling Proposition (USP), and any sources it cites must be fact-checked. That said, the data stored in the chatbot goes up to 2021. This works to your advantage: you’ll know what’s already been done and can come up with fresh ideas!

Wrap Up

ChatGPT and other conversational AI tools have revolutionized how we run our businesses and everyday living. You can now work faster and more efficiently, resolve customer queries quickly, enhance user experience, and boost customer loyalty. You can use ChatGPT to create engaging blog posts, social media content, newsletter outlines, and various income-generating products. Familiarizing yourself with AI technology is essential to stay ahead of the competition and to reduce the fear of replacement.
